I have finally started my 'real' college stuff now. Done are the bullshit classes that everyone has to take, replaced by the specialized classes that actually have something to do with my degree. I started with Advanced Breakfast Pastry this morning, have that 5 days a week, then switch over to Artisan Breads for a little while. Hooray for 3:45am classes Tuesday-Saturday. Yes, I have a 3:45am class Saturday morning. Goodbye Friday nights... But only for six weeks, then off to more sweet classes, much later in the day.

I am almost half way through my time in college before my first internship. I have been doing my gen ed type classes and basic culinary/baking classes that everyone has to take, but finally get to branch off into the AOS Baking and Pastry classes in in beginning of July. I will have 4am classes Tuesday-Saturday for the next few months, but I am still totally looking forward to it! This chunk of time will be dedicated to mostly more basic pastries and breads. I go off on my first internship in October, then do more of the cakes and plated dessert stuff that I really want to do when I come back after internship.

Things are going good for me, ive been very busy. Im just trying to survive my Junior year, I so can't wait to be done with school! Im considering moving west once i finally graduate. The school is a complete mess with all of the construction, i absolutely hate it. Im active in KRHS Theater, lol, but other than that Ive just been chillen with friends and kind of doing homework. haha.

I ended up going to school at New England Culinary Institute in Montpelier instead of Pennsylvania Culinary Academy. I am on internship right now and start school again in April. My boyfriend in from a suburb of Seattle, so we are thinking of going there for our second internship. His parents live on their boat in New Zealand for 6 months out of the year and will be leaving Seattle when we go on internship, so we would have a fully paid house to ourselves if we go there. Right now we are trying to see if we can swing a vacation before we go back to school, as a sort of celebration for finishing internship. Cruises are really cheap if you book last minute.
